Melvin Weidner Obituary

Melvin Lewis Weidner, 65, of Sidney, passed away at 8:05 A.M. Monday, July 6, 2026, at Momentous Health. He was born on June 14, 1961, in Lancaster, Ohio, to Burl and Monna (Murphy) Weidner.

Melvin is survived by his one child, Robert (Kristin) Weidner of Toledo, Ohio; two siblings, Roger (Donna) Weidner of Sidney and Jeri (Brian) Harris; one half-brother, Jeffery (Stephanie) Mathias of Columbus; his mother, Monna Weidner; and his three grandchildren. Melvin is preceded in death by his father, Burl Lewis Weidner Jr.

Melvin loved all things motorcycles and leather. He enjoyed dressing like the silver screen character Billie Jack. Melvin was well known for being selfless. Many who knew him would say that he would have given his right hand if it meant helping someone, especially his family. Melvin also loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.
