Mary M. "Peg" McGrath Edwards, 79, of Sidney, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021, at 5:50 PM at Ohio Living, Dorothy Love. She was born July 6, 1941, in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Ray) McGrath. On November 24, 1962, Peg married Phillip Edwards, who preceded her in death on February 18, 1983.
She is survived by two children, Stacey Edwards of Austin, Texas, Craig and wife Rebecca Edwards of Sarasota, Florida, and two siblings, Patricia A. (Ronald) Edwards and James E. (Barb) McGrath, both of Sidney.
Mrs. Edwards retired after many years working as an elected official for Clinton Township as the clerk, and she worked at Helman Brothers. Peg volunteered for the Holy Angels Soup Kitchen and Big Brother and Sisters of Shelby County; she owned and operated Personally Yours Monogram shop in downtown Sidney. Peg was a lifetime member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 10:30 AM at Graceland Cemetery, with Fr. Jarred Kohn officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S Main Ave, Sidney. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Church in Peg's honor.
