Mary Jean (Millet) Sherman

MARY JEAN (MILLET) SHERMAN, 85, of Sidney passed away Monday, February 5, 2024 at 3:47 PM at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on January 9, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Eugene and Emma (Dapore) Millet. On September 9, 1961, Mary Jean married Jerome Sherman, who preceded her in death July 1, 2003.

She is survived by four children, Angela (Niles) Evans of Botkins, Lisa (Murray) Lyle of Asheville, NC, Brenda (Joseph) Spangler of Sidney and Alan (Tina Marie Lovejoy) Sherman of Columbus; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mary Jean was preceded in death by son, Kevin Sherman and grandchild, Travis Roesser.

Mrs. Sherman retired from Amos Press. She loved spending time with family and playing cards, especially bid Euchre. She liked couples dancing and listening to classic country music. Mary Jean planned out in advance birthday cards for all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved. She enjoyed attending services at Holy Angels Catholic Church.

Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 from 4 PM until 6 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday February 10, 2024 at 11 AM at Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church in Mary Jean’s memory.
