Mary Lou (Chilcoat) Wendeln

MARY LOU WENDELN, 92 of Sidney, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 6:20 PM at Momentous Health. She was born on May 10, 1932, in St. Marys, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles and Cora (Howell) Chilcoat. On November 28, 1953, she married Eugene Wendeln who preceded her in death December 29, 2004.

Mary Lou is survived by two children, Mary (Dennis) Martin of Sidney, and Michael (Vicky) Wendeln of Pinehurst, TX, a sister, Remona Cook of St. Marys, six grandsons, Brek, Rhett, Jason, Kyle, Joshua, and Jeremy, five great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Wendeln, and a sister, Marie Wendeln.

Mary Lou was a graduate of St. Marys High School class of 1950. She worked as a secretary for Heinfeld Insurance in Sidney. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, and Eastern Star.

Graveside Services for Mary Lou will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Graceland Cemetery with Chaplain Mark Batton officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
