Mary Lou (Eilerman) Frantz

MARY LOU FRANTZ, age 88 of Sidney, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024, at 6:39 AM at her home. She was born on December 16, 1935, in Piqua, Ohio, the daughter of the late Louis and Lauretta (Pleiman) Eilerman. On April 26, 1958, she married John A. Frantz who preceded her in death July 28, 2011.

She is survived by two children: Lottie (Jeff) Elliott of Urbana, and Tom (Stephanie) Frantz of Sidney, son-in-law, Mark (Evette) Vondenhuevel of Evans, GA, sister-in-law, Jeanette Eilerman, eight grandchildren: Rachel (Alex) Massey, Olivia (Doug) Burke, Sam Vondenhuevel, Joe (Taylor) Vondenhuevel, Jackson, Ben, Luke, and Shane Frantz, and six great-grandchildren: Alex, Harper, Lyla, Finley, Banks, and Berkin. She was preceded in death by daughter, Ann Vondenhuevel, son, Frank Frantz, and six siblings.

Mrs. Frantz was a Sidney High School Graduate class of 1953. She was a homemaker and co-owner, with her husband, of Sidney Ready Mix, Vespa House, and The Tack Room. Together, they enjoyed owning and racing harness horses, as well as winters spent in Florida. She enjoyed baking, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 10:30 AM with Fr. Andrew Reckers officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. There will be no calling hours prior to Mass. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
