Mark Thomas Nuss

Mark Thomas Nuss, 57 years old of DeGraff, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly, the evening of Saturday, July 12, 2025.

Mark was born in Sidney, Ohio on June 3, 1968, to Tom and Sharon Nuss. Mark got gloriously saved at Mt. Tabor Church of God and that was the happiest time of his life. While attending Sidney High School, Mark was the District First Chair violinist continuing a talent that has been a part of his family for generations. He recently played his grandfather's violin for a special concert in Bowling Green, KY but his greatest burden was to play music that gave glory and honor to God.

Friends and family know how much Mark loved to eat (especially ice cream)! He was a true foodie! He loved to cook and worked as a high school student at Traditions. Mark went on to help manage his family-owned restaurant Kinninger's in Botkins. He worked at Lotridge Rubber twenty plus years and Freshway Foods/US Foods for eight years. He was most recently employed at Semcorp of Sidney, Ohio.

Mark was an avid Reds fan and enjoyed collecting Red's memorabilia. Mark also had a soft spot for redheads! A redhead raised him, his three daughters are redheads, and he had a new redheaded bride, Carla Everhart.

He treasured the times he spent with his daughters, Carrie (Matthew) Maher, Mallory (Connor Stoltz) and Ashley (Noah Francis), grandchildren Mackenzie, Ethan, Mayson, and Emily. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Kathy (Ryan) McCully, and brothers; Brad (Kristy) and Todd (Jennifer) Nuss. Mark was the oldest grandson of Helen Lykins and has a host of Lykins/Nuss uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 10 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Price officiating. Burial will follow at Stoney Creek Cemetery in Union Township, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM.
