Margaret L. Knellinger

MARGARET L. KNELLINGER, 92, of Sidney passed away at 5:10 P.M. Friday, September 25, 2020 at Ohio Living Dorothy Love. She was born on October 30, 1927 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harlan and Margaret (Moran) Woods. On April 19, 1952 she married John "Jack" E. Knellinger, who preceded her in death on December 26, 1975.

Margaret is survived by three children, Michael (Deborah) Knellinger of Loveland, OH, Beth Bornhorst of Fishers, IN and Jill Knellinger of Maineville, OH; son-in-law at heart, Gil Bornhorst; six grandchildren, Andrea (Greg) Sawchyn, Jack Knellinger, Dustin (Kate) Bornhorst, Laura Bornhorst, Drew Bornhorst, Ryan Bornhorst; four great-grandchildren, Amelia, Ara and Alek Sawchyn and Braxton Danner; one brother, John (Judy) Woods of Mentor, OH; and sister-in-law, Anna Katherine Tubbs. She was preceded in death by two infant children, Margaret and Mark Knellinger; and two sisters, Patricia White and Harlean Craven.

Margaret was a parishioner at St. Charles Catholic Church in Lima. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Private Service for family will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020. Interment will be at St. Marys Cemetery in Martins Ferry, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, alzfdn.org.
