LULA MAE DAVIS, 87, of Sidney, passed away at 9:30 A.M. Saturday, July 27, 2024 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born on December 17, 1936, the daughter of the late Charles Laws and Pernia Rains, and stepfather, Clyde Rains. On March 11, 1955 she married Glenn Alfred Davis, who preceded her in death on November, 10, 2022 after 68 years of marriage.
Lula is survived by four children, David (Wanda) Davis, Kathy Watkins, Brenda (Terry) Randolph, and Jack (Louise) Davis; six grandchildren, Kristi, Mindy, Jennifer, Joshua, Megan, and Erik; ten great-grandchildren, Brianna, Dylan, Taylor, Helena, Ethan, Nick, Kenzie, Levi, Hannah, and Brooklyn; and two great-great grandchildren, Zavier and Emerson. She was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Casey and Ashley; and one brother, Larry Rains.
Lula was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Crossroads Church of God in Piqua for 55 years. Lula worked at the former G.C. Murphy store downtown until their closing. She always said there should be a nurse in the family and earned her certification as a licensed practical nurse at the age of 60. Lula enjoyed sewing, and crocheting, but most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
There will be no services held. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice Care in Lula's memory. Condolences may be expressed to the Davis family at, www.cromesfh.com
