Loretta M. Sallie

Loretta M. Sallie went home to be with her Savior & Lord  Friday, June 4, 2021.  She was born to Dick & Emma (Kieval) Jager on September 15, 1937 in Iowa City, Iowa.

Preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters Jessie, Esther and Hilda and one brother Richard.

She married Donald Sallie on April 9, 2011.  He preceded her in death June 14, 2017.

They both attended Calvary United Baptist Church.

She has 4 stepchildren, Fred (Brenda F.) Browning, Sidney, Jerry (Brenda A.) Browning, Piqua, Linda Browning, Sidney, and Wanda (George) Fahnestock, Sidney.  Also 2 stepdaughters: Pamela (Gary) Gibbs and Connie Sallie both live in Middletown.

6 grandchildren: Greg Courtney, Andrea (Jerome) Keller, Jeremy (Angela) Browning, Kara (Doug) Myers, Jason Fahnestock and Aaron Fahnstock, 5 Great Grandchildren Chase Myers, Evan Myers, Jade Courtney, Rebecca Keller and Alexander Keller.

Nephews Bryan Newberg-Sidney and Larry Jager of Iowa.  A niece Pamela Meade-Iowa.  There were also many nieces and nephews in Iowa.

She retired from Dorothy Love retirement community where she worked for 24 years.  She was blessed with a wonderful Christian husband and many friends.  She belonged to the Senior Center and also volunteered at St. John’s Thrift Shop.  Her blessings were many.  She went to be together with Don.

The family will receive friends at the visitation to be held on Friday, June 11 at the Calvary United Baptist Church beginning at 10:30 am followed by the funeral service held at Noon.  Pastor Dave Shepherd officiating.  Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery,
