Lonnie Sowders Obituary

LONNIE WAYNE SOWDERS, 69, of Sidney passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 8, 2022 at his residence. He was born on August 15, 1952 in Hillsboro, Tennessee, the son of the late George and Darelene (Jones) Sowders. On April 16, 2002, Lonnie married the former Silva Wolaver, who survives.

He is survived by four children, Deloris Sowders, Lonnie Lee (Kelly) Sowders, Joyce Alexander and Vandora Wellbaum; eighteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and five siblings, Sue, Charlotte, Patsy, Paulette, and Dee. Lonnie was preceded in death by two children, Joshua Sowders and Jennifer Rainey, two brothers, Jerry Sowders and Isaac Sowders and sister, Geraldine Sowders.

Mr. Sowders retired from Phoenix Metal Polishing as a Janitor. Lonnie loved the outdoors in which he loved to fish and camp. He was a handyman and was a "jack of all trades."

In honoring Lonnie's wishes, his body will be cremated. Family will hold services at their own discretion. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney. Condolences may be expressed to the Sowders family at our website, www.cromesfh.com
