Linnie Ann Coverstone

LINNIE ANN COVERSTONE, 67, of Sidney, passed peacefully in her sleep at home Wednesday morning November 5, 2025. Linnie was born on September 3, 1958 in Amarillo Texas, the daughter of the late Wendell and Yoko (Uemura) Guess. She grew up in a military family with her older siblings Danny and Rowena. She spent a lot of her time with her grandparents, Horace and Sophia Guess, in Calera, Oklahoma, where she also graduated high school. When Linnie was 21 years old she decided to join the Navy. While stationed on Andros island in the Bahamas, as a postal clerk, she met her husband of 42 years, James Coverstone. The couple married on December 17, 1982.

Linnie is survived by her husband, James Coverstone; Two sons, Cody Coverstone and Dylan Coverstone; four grandchildren, Zaydnn Coverstone, Dezi Coverstone, James Coverstone, and Alianna Coverstone, all of Sidney; Siblings Rowena (Ashby) Guess of Oklahoma and Danny Guess of Virginia; and her beloved yorkies.

Linne loved to cook for her family and also liked to crochet. She worked at the post office for 20 years, most of that time in Jackson Center. Dogs have always been her favorite animals, and she had many over the years that she loved like they were her children. Linnie will be dearly missed by all whose lives she had touched.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 10 A.M at Cedar Point Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home. Condolences may be made to the family at, www.cromesfh.com
