Linda Sue Meininger

Linda Sue (Billing) Meininger age 81 of Sidney passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 6:20 PM at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County. Linda was born in Sidney on February 18, 1943, to Gerald and Sarah (Rembold) Billing.

She married Marvin Peter Meininger on October 24, 1980.

Linda is survived by her loving family, siblings Susan (Gary) Bertsch of Anna and Gerald Frederick Billing Jr. of Sidney, stepchildren Lorie (John) Simpson of Piqua, Mindy (Sonny) Fulks of Covington, Mark (Chantal) Meininger of Dayton, Jim Meininger and Jason Pelligrine both of San Francisco, grandchildren Joseph and Rachel Thoma of Maumee, Luke and Vanessa Thoma of Piqua, Matt and Alli Fulks of San Diego, Layne Fulks of Columbus, Drew, Ava, Alivia Meininger and Madsion Simpson of Piqua, great grandchildren Selah Simpson of Piqua, Jocelyn, Isabelle, Irena Thoma of Piqua, nieces and nephews Stacy (Chad) Troyer of Plain City, Alan Bertsch of Anna, Brian (Laurie) Billing of Hilliard, Aaron (Lindsey) Billing of Troy, Caven Risk of Sidney and Cathy (Chip) Wheeler of North Carolina, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Meininger, daughter Darci Michele Risk, parents Gerald and Sarah Billing and sister-in-law Rose (Bender) Billing.

Linda worked in the Shelby County Treasurers office for 33 years, 14 years as the Shelby County Treasurer. She loved her job everyday and serving the residents of Shelby County. She attended Sidney High School, graduating in 1961 and attended Edison State for her real estate license. She enjoyed serving the community in many organizations, Kiwanis Club, Moose Lodge, YMCA Board, Sidney School Board, and numerous other organizations. After retiring she reactivated her real estate license with Brokers Real Estate Inc. She was also an extremely avid exerciser and walker.

Private Services are to be held by the family. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the Sidney Elks Lodge 786, 221 S. Main Ave. Sidney, OH 45365 from 12:00 PM (Noon) until 4:00 PM.
