Linda Jean (Thompson) Cathcart

Linda Jean Cathcart, 75, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away at 9:45 P.M. Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at her residence. She was born April 27, 1951, in Sidney, to the late J.V. and Vivian (York) Thompson.

Linda is survived by her three children, Jennifer (Cathcart) Potts of Lakeview, Ohio, Rachel (Scott Sampson) Lane of Bluffton, Ohio, and Billie Jean Yohannes of Sidney, Ohio; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three siblings, Joe (Peg) Thompson, James (Mac) Thompson, and Diana Taylor. She is also survived by her companion of 38 years, Roger “Joe” Bright.

Linda retired from Fair Haven after working there for 38 years so she could see the world with Joe. The two of them were able to do just that. They traveled all over, and Joe always made sure that Linda and her dog, “Coco,” were taken care of. The family is grateful for their bonus sisters and their dad.
