Linda Marie (Wehrman) Barhorst

LINDA MARIE BARHORST, age 66 of Sidney, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024, at 8:18 PM at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. She was born on July 22, 1958, in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Carl and Kathleen (Phlipot) Wehrman.

On March 10, 1979, Linda married David Barhorst who survives along with their two children: Todd (Sarah) Barhorst of Beavercreek, and Kim (Luke) Hoying of Ft. Loramie, six grandchildren: Henry, Helen, Grace, D.J., Rose, and Cole, nine siblings: Jim (Sandy) Wehrman of Indian Lake, Bill Wehrman of Sidney, Betty (Denny) Dahlinghaus of Minster, Ruth (Dave) Clark of Troy, Roger Wehrman of Ft. Loramie, Joan (Jerry) Schulze of Osgood, Pat (Deb) Wehrman of Ft. Loramie, Barb (Keith) Paulus of Russia, and Treva Seigel of Ft. Loramie. She was preceded in death by son, Daniel Barhorst, brother, Ray Wehrman, sister-in-law, Mary Wehrman, and brother-in-law, Ted Seigel.

Linda was a Ft. Loramie Graduate Class of 1976. She earned her associate’s degree in nursing from Kettering College of Medical Arts in 1978, and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Franklin University in 1994.

Linda started working as a Registered Nurse at Wilson Health in 1978 in various nursing positions, and in 1998 as a Diabetes Educator, retiring in 2021. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, American Diabetes Association, and Association of Diabetes Care & Educators Specialists.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 30, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 to 4 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
