L. Louise Clawson

L. Louise Clawson, age 98, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 9:29 PM at Ayden Health Care in Greenville. She was born on August 20, 1925, in Darke County, Ohio, the daughter of Elmer and Goldie (Wentworth) Warvel.

She is survived by her loving family, granddaughter Lisa Marcum, great grandchildren Brittany Lipps, Anthony Marcum, and Brendan Marcum, great great grandchildren Elliana, Jaxyn and Covin, and several nieces and nephews. Along with several dear friends.

She is preceded in death by husband Lester Clawson, son Lester Clawson Jr., brother Dill Warvel, sisters Dorothy Niley, Mable Skillman, and her twin Lucille Post and an infant brother George Warvel. 

She was known to her family growing up as Beatty, the nickname given to her by her twin sister Lucille who she in turn called Tollie. In her later years she was known to her grandchildren and their friends as simply Gram. She worked most of her life in factories such as Neff Lettering and Hobart (now Whirlpool) before becoming a Cosmetologist and buying her own Beauty Shop. She was very giving to her friends and family who all appreciated what she always did for them. 

Graveside Services will be held Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 10:30 AM at New Teagarden Cemetery, 2753 OH ST Rt 47, Ansonia, OH 45303. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cromesfh.com
