KAYE LYNETTE VORDEMARK, 81, of Sidney, passed away at 8:40 P.M. Monday, May 18, 2026 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit. She was born on June 16, 1944 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Carl and Betty (Shaffer) Valentine. On May 22, 1965 she married James “Jim” Vordemark, who preceded her in death on November 5, 2013.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sally Yeager, and Sherry Monnier; and two nephews, Zachary Miculka, and Paul D. Valentine.
Kaye worked for LeRoi in Sidney for many years before retiring in 2007. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. Kaye loved her nieces and nephews as her own, earning the cherished title of “bonus mom.” She also had a special connection with her pets and seemed to be an animal magnet wherever she went. Kaye was a member of First Christian Church in Sidney. Shortly before her passing, she shared words that now carry even greater meaning: “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
