Kathy (Steck) Geib

Kathy (Kathryn) Geib, 76, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Heart-to-Heart Hospice in Troy, Michigan, with her family by her side. 

She was born on April 27, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Walter Jr. and Anne (Hart) Steck. On January 8, 1977, Kathy married Brian Geib, who survives along with her two sons, Jeffrey (Kristi) Geib of Arlington, Virginia, and his children Austin, Trevor, and Violet; and Scott (Danielle Carpenter) Geib of Hilo, Hawaii, and his children Micah, Ari, and Lilah. She is also survived by her sister Elaine (Geoff) Haley of Frankfort, Delaware; her brother John (Karen) Steck of Clayton, Ohio; and her sister-in-law Kathleen (Geib) Boykin of Zelienople, Pennsylvania.

Kathy was a graduate of Brookeville High School. She was a very active individual who enjoyed tending her flowers in the summer, always had to be busy, and consistently put the needs of others before her own. She cherished the time she could spend with her family.

A Memorial Service for Kathy will be held at Saint Paul's United Church of Christ in Sidney, Ohio, on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM, officiated by Rev. Jim Oates.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the Fireside Room at the church. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
