Kathryn JoAnn (Evans) Smith

KATHRYN JOANN SMITH, age 76 of Sidney, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 8:59 PM at Fair Haven Shelby County Home. She was born on November 9, 1944 in Decatur, Indiana, the daughter of the late Frederick R. and D. Charlene (Exline) Evans. On October 8, 1966 she married Robert W. Smith Sr. who preceded her in death in 2000.

She is survived by two sons, Robert (Kendra) Smith of Sidney, and Donald (Jennifer) Smith of Friendswood, TX, three siblings, Bill Lynch of Kenton, David (Pam) Lynch of Rossville, GA, and Amy Bundy of Tucson, AZ, and four grandchildren, Morgan A., Aidan M., Rowan W., and Siena N. Smith.

Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Indian Lake High School. She spent most of her working career as a circulation manager for the Sidney Daily News. She was a member of Solid Rock Church in Sidney.

A Private visitation will be held for the family at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 11 AM.
