Karen L. (Richeson) Goings

KAREN L. GOINGS, age 67 of Port Jefferson, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 6:45 PM at her home. She was born on October 25, 1953 in Great Falls, Montana, the daughter of the late Lawrence A. and Vivian R. (Cosentino) Richeson.

On August 4, 1972 Karen married John Goings who survives along with two children, Shannon (Chris) Ritterer of Sidney, and John Jr. (Shannon) Goings of Bellefontaine, one sister, Wanda Richeson of WV, four grandchildren, Kiersten Ritterer, Johnathan (Rachel) Goings, Christian Ritterer, and Ellie Goings, two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Izzy, many other close family and friends, and best friend and k-9 companion, Marley. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie and Ronnie Richeson, and one sister, Sharon Waldroop.

Karen was a retired maintenance worker for Shelby County. She lived life for her family, especially her grandkids, who meant the world to her.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 17, 2021 at 6:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Hina officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 6 PM. Committal Services will be private at Graceland Cemetery at a later date.
