Judy C. Fogt

JUDY C. FOGT, age 79 of Sidney, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 6:22 PM at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit.

Judy was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on October 17th, 1941, the daughter of the late Earl and Jane LeRoy Beekman Clayton.  In the 1950s, she moved to Maplewood, Ohio and became the adopted daughter of the late Lloyd (Hop) Clayton.
 
In 1959, Judy graduated from Sidney High School, part of a class she has cherished through the years.  She later received a Bachelor's Degree from Miami University and a Masters from the University of Dayton.
 
In 1964, she married the late Jim Fogt.  After his death in 2011, his brothers and sisters, Robyn, Denny, Kent and his wife Julie, all of Sidney, and Rhonda and her husband Fritz Shull of Florida were the support she needed, always there for her. 
 
Judy's career was in teaching elementary education in Sidney, Hamilton, and Botkins.  The many years in Botkins brought such happiness and love for the children, their parents, and for her fellow teachers. 
 
Her son, Christopher Fogt, wife Heather and his children, Brady and Meagan of Kingwood, Texas, were the pure joy of Judy's life.  They are her only survivors. 
 

At her request, there will be no services. A Private Committal will be held at a later time at Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
