Judith Kay (Johnston) Cartwright

JUDITH KAY CARTWRIGHT, age 82 of Sidney, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at 6:39 PM at Fair Haven Shelby County Home. She was born on November 19, 1941, in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Richard Clinton and Frances (Goldsberry) Johnston.

She is survived by son, Steve (Kathy) Cartwright of Sidney, brother, Jay R. (Rose) Johnston and family of St. Marys, five grandchildren: Ward Cartwright, Max Cartwright, Millie Taylor, Macey Davis, Cole Cartwright, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Chris Cartwright.

Mrs. Cartwright was a Sidney High School graduate class of 1959. She spent her career as a registered nurse, working in geriatrics for numerous nursing homes as well as a hospital OR nurse. She was a member of New Covenant Church and sang in the Gem City Chapter of Sweet Adelines.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 31, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Scott New officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco. The family will receive friends on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
