Judith Rose Albers

JUDITH ROSE ALBERS, 82, of Sidney passed away at 8:05 AM Monday, July 23, 2018 at Upper Valley Medical Center.  She was born on July 23, 1936 in Casstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late David and Rosa (Horn) Boitnott.  In 1953 she married Kenneth H. Albers, who preceded her in death in February of 1979.  She was also preceded in death by her long-time companion, Robert Oldham, who recently passed away on May 12, 2018.

Judith is survived by her five children, Kenneth (Vicki) Albers of Anna, Deborah (Harold) Roberts of Mcminnville, TN, Nick (Vicki) Albers of Houston, Mike (Joyce) Albers of Anna, and Dan (Donna) Albers of Piqua; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by four grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.

Judith was retired from the former Copeland Corporation after more than 30 years of service.  She was a member of Copeland's bowling league for many years.  In her free time she enjoyed fishing, playing cards and crocheting.  Most of all she loved to spend time with her family. 

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., with Pastor Fred Gillenwater officiating.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County in Judith's memory.  Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be made to the Albers family at the funeral home's website, www.cromesfh.com
