John F. Vordemark

JOHN F. VORDEMARK, 85 of Sidney, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 7:05 PM at his home. He was born on January 7, 1940, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Merlin and Amy (Finkenbine) Vordemark.

On August 6, 1966, John married Marcia (Middleton) who survives along with their three children: Jason Vordemark of Sidney, Justin (Daniel Nevins) Vordemark of West Carrollton, OH, and Jarred (Shauna) Vordemark of Sidney, three grandchildren: Camden, Myles, and Larkyn, sister, Jane (Grant) Sneed of Clayton, OH, and brother-in-law, Tom Middleton of Sidney. He was preceded in death by sister, Judy Knupp, and brother-in-law, Herschel Knupp.

John was a graduate of Sidney High School. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1958 to 1962. He worked as a manager for Copeland Corporation in Sidney. He was a 50-year member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, a member of the Sidney VFW, and Sidney Moose Lodge.

In keeping with John and the family’s wishes, a Private Graveside Service will be held at Pearl Cemetery in Swanders with Randy Reed officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
