On August 19, 2023 he married Norma Barhorst-Omlor, who survives, along with stepsons, Nathan Burkholder, and Scottie Williams; grandchildren, McKenna (Josh), Brayden, Dylan, and Ciara Williams; great-grandson, Timothy Williams; siblings, Steve (Diana) Omlor, and Stephanie (Kevin) Keener; mother-in-law, Mary Looker; siblings-in-law, Terri Barhorst, Susie (John) Tewalt, and Robert (Tracy) Barhorst; and nieces and nephews, Nathaniel (Kelsey) Omlor, Michael (Maria) Omlor, and Kylie (Drew) Seedorf. John was a proud United States Army veteran and a dedicated millwright throughout his career. He most recently worked at International Motors (Navistar) in Springfield, Ohio, where he truly loved his work and the people he worked alongside. His “final watch” with his coworkers took place on March 27th. John was known for his love of laughter and his playful spirit. He especially enjoyed pulling pranks just to see people’s reactions. He never met a stranger and had a rare gift for getting along with everyone. A lifelong fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. “Who Dey!”
