John Robert Davis

JOHN ROBERT DAVIS, age 87 of Sidney, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 11:38 AM at Hospice Of Dayton. He was born on October 5, 1934 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Robert Christopher and Jessie Ellen (Freistuhler) Davis.

He is survived by five children; Margarett (Roc Bey) Stein of Kettering, Deborah Bodenmiller, Kathy (Joe) Lambert, Mary (Leroy Cook) Massengill, and John Davis II all of Sidney, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, brother, Jerry Davis of Jackson Center, and Paul (Janice) Davis of Sidney. He was preceded in death by daughter, Sally Jo Davis, brother, Harold Davis, sister, Carol Fields, and grandson, Dionte Davis.

Mr. Davis was a Sidney High School Graduate. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War from 1954 to 1956. He retired from Stolle Corporation after 45 years of service.

John enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, mushroom hunting, and flying RC Planes. He loved all animals, especially his cats. Above all, he loved his family and spending time with his grandkids.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 10 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Inman officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
