JEREMY RYAN SPILLERS (known affectionately by many as “Jer”) of Sidney, Ohio was born on March 31, 1974 and passed away into the presence of Jesus on June 28, 2024.
You didn’t have to be around Jeremy very long to realize what some of his top priorities were – the first one being that his family and friends meant the world to him. When you became his friend, you were his friend for life. Jeremy’s loyalty and magnetic personality were a direct reflection of his genuine heart for people. Another priority for Jeremy was his beloved Siberian Husky, Casper. It was crushing for Jeremy when Casper passed and Casper remained a topic of many conversations with Jeremy long after Casper’s death. One of Jeremy’s strong interests was football. He was a Cleveland Browns fan as well as a Michigan fan through and through. The only greater joy for Jeremy in following these teams was to watch his own nephews’ games. In more recent years Jeremy became more and more interested in God and eventually accepted Jesus and was baptized. While nobody is perfect, Jeremy was truly growing and following Jesus in his final days of life.
Jeremy is preceded in death by his father, Chalmer Douglas (Doug) Spillers and his brother Barry Williams. He is survived by his mother, Patti (Mark) Weber; his aunt, Penny Roller; his aunt, Tomi Spillers; his uncle, Jim (Sue) Spillers; as well as his siblings – brother, Chad (Diane) Spillers; sister, Mindy Spillers; sister, Amy (Fred) Doseck; brother Mark (Brittaney) Weber Jr ; sister, Melissa Weber (Ben Ferland); brother, Paul Weber; and sister, Ashley Weber. Also, his nephews and nieces – Kyle and Andre Spillers; Noel Spillers and Ryan Dunham; Carissa Meyer; Whalan and Ava Moore; Otis, Vita and Betty Weber.
