JENNY LEE COLE

September 9, 1966 - February 19th, 2025

Jenny Lee Cole (Fair), 58 years of age, passed in the afternoon of Wednesday, February 19th, 2025. She was in the company and embrace of her sons, Matthew and Zachary, as well as other close family members who had gathered around her in her final hours. Jenny was born in Sidney, Ohio on September 9th,1966 to her late parents Donald and Judy Fair. She is survived by her two loving sons, Matthew, 34, of Cincinnati, and Zachary, 31, of Beavercreek. In addition, Jenny is survived by her brother David (Becky) Fair of Fort Myers, Florida, half-sister Melody Fair of Alaska, Uncles Dan and Larry Fair, Aunt Jane (Dale) Peterson of Sidney, and Connie Hamilton, both of Sidney. She is also survived by mother-in-law Bonnie Ashford of Sidney, brother-in-law Curtis (Kathryn) Cole of South Carolina, step siblings Trixie (Mike) Huddleston, Traci (Keith) Alvarado, Tonia (Robert) Rexrode, and Tom Ashford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Cole, whom she married June 25th, 1988, mother and father, Judy (Gruebmeyer) and Donald Fair, and step-father in law, Samuel Ashford. A graduate of Sidney High School, Jenny was employed by Emerson Climate Technologies as a Bills Material Analyst. She spent 28 years there, devoting her time, energy and dedication, but Home was where her primary passions resided - gardening and nature, comfort, and her favorite cuddle buddy, her dog, Jasper. Home was a little slice of Eden, where she found comfort, relaxation, peace and nature, all cornerstones in her world to be enjoyed and maintained - from spending time on the back deck with a coffee, to cuddling with Jasper, Jenny spent her downtime here. The Spring thaw had her preparing for the warmer weather, getting her plants ready for fresh air and sunshine. Summer had her maintaining a large collection of plants in the house, and a garden that provided an abundance of delicious cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes, green beans, and sometimes corn, raised against a backdrop of marigolds and wildflowers. Come fall, and these would give way to a crop of pumpkins to be laid out around the house for decoration. Winter had the home warm and cozy, comfortable against the snow and darker hours with heated blankets and flickering candles, and of course, Jasper. Jenny carried with her a quiet but sure strength and fire, which was deeply rooted in love for family and life as a whole, and manifested in the time and care she spent on the Cole home and the gardens and plants within it, on her sons and their careers, and her husband Mike throughout his life, supporting him in his dedication to the Sidney Amateur Baseball League and in his career at Auria and many other things, and then ultimately in his final year and battle with Cancer. That same strength and fire powered her beyond that year, with a vision of ultimately selling the house and moving closer to her sons and moving forward with her life. The family will be holding a celebration in remembrance of Jenny’s life and spirit at a later time and date, as of yet to be determined.
