Jeanice "Jeanne Rae" Ramona (Niswonger) Mader

Jeanice “Jeanne Rae” Ramona Mader, 96, of Versailles, formerly of Sidney, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 11:36 AM at Versailles Health Care Center. She was born on June 15, 1928, in Sidney, Ohio, to the late Lawrence and Laura (Carnes) Niswonger. On June 16, 1967, she married John Mader, who preceded her in death on September 26, 2014.

Jeanne Rae is survived by her nephew, Ted (Kim) Jones of New Braunfels, TX, and her beloved neighbor, Pam Heaton of Russia, OH, who was a special part of her life.

A graduate of Sidney High School, Class of 1948, Jeanne Rae spent her career in various roles at Bun Hill Real Estate, Sidney Pattern, and most recently at Walmart. She had a deep love for standardbred horse racing and breeding, and her passion for Belgian draft horses was known by many.

A Graveside Service to honor her life will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco, OH, with Pastor Kris Geise officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
