JAMES “JIM” COUCH, 88, formerly of Sidney, passed away 5:15 P.M. Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Troy Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on November 17, 1933 in Hazel Green, Kentucky, the son of the late John and Josie (Hollon) Couch.
On August 9, 1956 he married the former Nola Osborne, who survives along with two children, Jeffrey Couch of Battle Creek, MI and Debby (Todd) Morey of Piqua; daughter-in-law, Becky Couch of Sidney; nine grandchildren, Kristina (Tom) Moore, Jessica (Eric) Reid, Josh Couch, Sean Couch, Jonathan Couch, Alysha (Neil) Orsborne, Derik (Jennifer) Couch, Cody (Jalisa) Nutter and Faith Couch; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Veda Branam of Sidney and Herchel (Nancy) Couch of Florida. He was preceded in death by one son, "Grage" James Couch, two brothers and two sisters.
Jim worked as a forklift operator for Copeland Corporation, retiring after more than 40 years. Many know him from the years he spent after retirement delivering for Cassano's in Sidney. Jim was a devoted husband to the love of his life for 65 years. He enjoyed his cars, fishing, and more than anything he loved his family. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 1 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Earnie Jones officiating.
