James was a self-employed construction worker throughout his career. He enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his life and was a longtime member of the Shelby County Fish and Game Association. “Dad was an extraordinary man who possessed a blend of many talents and had a heart as big as the universe. He never knew a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand no matter the situation. Whether it was gathering around the poker table, shooting a game of pool, or picking up that guitar and singing in that ole country bar, he definitely knew how to draw a crowd. He was an amazing Daddy, Pap, Brother, Uncle, and Friend, and as we all mourn his loss, let us remember him not only for his big heart and sense of humor, but also for the love and joy he brought to our lives and the lives of anyone that had the opportunity to feel his love.”
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 12 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cemetery.
