James DeMars

JAMES DEMARS, 79, of Sidney passed away at 9:25 A.M. Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Shelby Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born on December 14, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Leonard and Alberta (Burgess) DeMars. For 30 years he was married to Ruth (Wendell) DeMars, who preceded him in death.

In March of 2001 he married the former Debra Mae McPheron, who survives him along with his two daughters, Monica DeMars and Vicky Johnson, both of Sidney; three step-children, Teresa, Ted and James; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Joe (Karen) DeMars and Nancy DeMars, both of Michigan.

James was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a long time member of Word of Life Ministries in Sidney. James enjoyed fishing; he loved his tools and enjoyed a good card game. Most of all he loved spending time with his wife and family.
