Jack Ike Obituary

JACK WALTER IKE, age 83 of Sidney, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 4:05 AM at Wilson Health. He was born on March 29, 1942, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Marcus and Annabelle (Slagle) Ike.

On September 29, 1990, Jack married Sandra Anthony who survives along with four children: Diane (Milton) Jelley of Versailles, KY, Deborah (Tony) Slife, Darla (Jon) Bowling, and Emily (Rod) Scott all of Sidney, seven grandchildren: Ande, Dani, Abbie, Justin, Alex, Kelsey, and Caroline, and 10 great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Wesley, Parker, Mackenzie, Sawyer, Harvest, Hudson, Emory, Evie, and Bodie. He was preceded in death by brother, Thomas Ike, sister, Janet Motter, and granddaughter, Amanda Hartley.

Jack was a graduate of Houston High School class of 1960. He was an original member of the Shelby County Mounted Deputy. He worked many jobs over the years, which included farming, Shelby Manufacturing, Copeland, Ferguson Construction, selling insurance, and most recently at Lowe’s in their tool department.

Funeral Services for Jack will be held Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Harry Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM.
