Herbert J. McBee Sr.

HERBERT J. MCBEE SR, 92, of Ft. Loramie passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at 10:18 AM at Fair Haven Shelby County Home. He was born on December 3, 1929 in Montgomery County, Ohio, the son of the late Herbert F. McBee and Mildred (Hill) Neves. On April 26, 1952, Herbert married the former Emma L. Stewart, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by four children, Julia Sharples of Ft. Loramie, Herbert McBee Jr. of Sidney, Brenda S. Wellbaum of Sidney and Bruce (Kimberly) McBee of Vandalia; four grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Herbert was preceded in death by fifteen siblings, grandchild, Sherrie Ann and great-grandchild, Jeramy Allen Risdon Jr.

Mr. McBee retired from the former Copper Weld in Piqua as a Steel Worker. Herbert proudly served his country in the United States Army and United States National Guard. He enjoyed fishing, walking, working out and bowling. Herbert loved to play cards with his family and friends. He also liked to watch WWE wrestling and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Herbert was of the Christian faith. 

In honoring Herbert's wishes, his body will be cremated. The family will hold services at their own discretion. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney. Condolences may be expressed to the McBee family at our website, www.cromesfh.com
