Henrietta Rose Stockton

HENRIETTA ROSE STOCKTON, 98, of Sidney passed away at 12:30 P.M. Monday, September 18, 2023 at Fair Haven County Home. She was born on September 3, 1925 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert Sr. and Rosella (Johnson) Stockton.

Henrietta is survived by four children, Deborah J. Brockington of St. Louis, MO, Marietta A. Lockridge of Jonesboro, GA, Lorraine Hurd of Kirksville, MO, and Eddie L. Franklin Jr. of Guam; grandchildren, Damon, Cheryl and Terence Hurd, Yolanda Lockridge, Pamela and Patricia Haines, Markus Hurd, Shawnda Franklin, Eddie L. Franklin III, Lily May Franklin; twenty great-grandchildren and nineteen great-great grandchildren; one sister, Sylvia Stockton; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.

Henrietta retired from the former Copeland Corporation where she worked for more than 30 years. She was a life-long member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. In her youth, Henrietta was very athletic and involved in numerous sports. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, listening to country music and attending Country Concert. Most of all she enjoyed family gatherings or any occasion that brought all her loved ones together. She will be missed greatly.

A graveside service will be held at Graceland Cemetery on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 1:30 P.M. with Pastor Sharon Henderson officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to Henrietta’s family at, www.cromesfh.com
