Georgia P. Smith

GEORGIA PAULETTE SMITH, 69, of Sidney, passed away at 1:29 AM Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Grandview Medical Center. She was born on April 11, 1952 in Wiborg, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Roberts) Strunk. She was married to Fred Smith, Jr., who preceded her in death.

Georgia is survived by two sons, Craig (Evelyn) Smith and Kevin (Sherry) Smith, both of Sidney; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five siblings, Betty Smith, Connie (Dave) Schneider, Ralph Jr. (Lola) Strunk, Kenneth (Beulah) Strunk, Donna (Mark) Redmon; sister-in-law, Barbara Strunk; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Derek Smith; and two brothers, Darrell and Roger Strunk.

Georgia was retired from Wal-Mart in Sidney. Before working there, she worked 29 years for Cenveo, formerly known as Direct Graphics. Georgia graduated from McCreary County High School in Whitley City, Kentucky. She attended Flat Rock Baptist Church in Flat Rock, Kentucky. Georgia had a green thumb and greatly enjoyed flower gardening. She collected angels and loved her soap operas. Her family was her greatest joy and she will be dearly missed by them all.
