Gary B. North

GARY BRUCE NORTH, 83, of Sidney, passed away at 3:28 A.M. on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at his residence. He was born on May 9, 1939 in Troy, Ohio, the son of the late Garold and Thelma (Ray) North. He was married to Karen North, who preceded him in death in 1979. He later married Patty Cotterman, who survives.

Gary is survived by three children, Jeff North of Sidney, Robb North of Port Jefferson, and Lori (Jason) Ganger of Maplewood; three grandchildren, Jacob (Kiarra) North, Collin Ganger and fiance Courtney, and Cameron Ganger; two great-grandchildren, Dakota and Wrenleigh; three siblings, Jim (Jennie) North of New Mexico, Steve (Martha) North of Louisianna, and Pam Rudy of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Philip North.

Gary was a veteran of the United States Army and served from 1962-64. He was retired from the City of Sidney where he worked for more than 28 years for the street department. Gary was a plane enthusiast, he loved train watching and also collecting model trains. He also enjoyed gardening and tinkering in the garage. Most of all he enjoyed visits from his three children.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Chaplain Angela Barfield officiating. Gary's final resting place will be at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11 A.M. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice Care in Gary's memory.
