Frederick Raymond Grieves

Frederick Raymond Grieves age 88 of Sidney passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 10:25 PM at home. He was born on February 13, 1936 in Botkins the son of Edwin and Ethelyn (Griffis) Grieves.

Frederick is survived by his loving family, children Charla Grieves, Brent (Scarlett) Grieves and Cheryl (Chris) Gallimore, grandchildren Hillary (David) Trout, Corinne (Daniel) King, Cameron (Kourtney) Gallimore and Caroline Gallimore, great grandchildren Noah, Atreus, Alexander and Zaida, and brother Edwin Herbert (Susan) Grieves.

Frederick is preceded in death by his wife Julianne Grieves, his parents and a brother Clifford (Mary) Grieves.

Frederick graduated from Anna High School class of 1954. He earned a degree as a Chartered Life Underwriter. He worked for Omar Bakery in delivery and sales. He was a tool and dye machinist. He retired as an Insurance Agent after 20 years from New York Life Insurance Company. Most of all he enjoyed the outdoors. Hunting and fishing, being a member of the Shelby County Deer Association. He loved to ride his Honda motor scooter all the way up to the last few years. He was never seen without a pleasant look on his face. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He will be missed by all who love him.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Graceland Cemetery with Pastor Charla Grieves officiating. Contributions can be made to Wilson Hospice in his memory. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cromesfh.com
