Frances Eva Jean (Martin) Trapp

FRANCES EVA JEAN (MARTIN) TRAPP, age 80 of West Milton, OH, was called home to be with her blessed Lord on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 10:45 PM. She was the daughter of the late Lester and Sarah (Martin) Martin.

She married Charles "Jack" Trapp on June 7, 1958 who preceded her in death on June 26, 2019.  She is survived by her two children; Dennis (Brenda Menchhofer) of Troy, Ohio, and Jackie Denise (James) Frye of Union, Ohio, six grandchildren (Abby Hatley, Adam Langston, Kyle Langston, Hillary Carlson, Daniel Langston and Connor Frye) and fifteen great-grandchildren (Christopher and Kady Hatley, Kami Grubb, Remy and Isla Langston, Ethne and Edelle Langston, Isabella, Allyse, Emory, Oakley and Layla Carlson, Brayden, Braelynn and Bryer Langston)

Fran is also survived by two brothers; Luther (Shirley) Martin of Columbus, Ohio, and Aubrey Martin of Elida, Ohio. One sister, Bonnie (Martin) Adkins preceded her in death.

Fran was born February 8, 1940, in Lawrenceburg, TN. She graduated from the Anna School District in 1958. In 1975, she received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Wright State University, and in 1979 she received her Master's Degree from the University of Dayton. She taught the fifth grade at the Fairlawn School District for thirty years, retiring in 1999.

Fran enjoyed being with her family and spending time with her Children, Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She was very active in many service areas of New Vision Church in Dayton, OH.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Northtowne Church of God, 2008 Wapakoneta Ave, Sidney, with Pastors Darin Bolden and Tim Bartee officiating. Burial will follow at Pearl Cemetery in Swanders. The family will receive friends, at the church, on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
