Estella Marie (Stewart) York

ESTELLA MARIE YORK, age 83 at Wapakoneta, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 6:08 AM at The Gardens of Wapakoneta. She was born on September 26, 1941, in Wellsville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Elmer and Mildred (Boyce) Stewart. On January 10, 1973, she married Homer York who preceded her in death December 24, 2001.

Estella is survived by three children: Scott (Mary) Smith of Bellefontaine, Marty (Keith) Frey of Wapakoneta, and Susie (Brian) Faust of Springboro, four step children: Deb (Mike) Ulsh of Covington, Brenda (Rodney) Barker of Troy, Mike (LaWanda) York of New Mexico, and Christina York of Sidney, one brother, Elmer Stewart of Piqua, 23 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Smith, one daughter, Teresa Morrison, five sisters, and one brother.

Estella dedicated her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, puzzles, games on her computer, and her cat, Smokey. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Funeral Services for Estella will be held Monday, September 8, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Oates officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
