Emogene Anna Reinhardt

EMOGENE ANNA REINHARDT (nee LONG), age 87, of Sidney, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022, at The Seasons Assisted Living in Cincinnati.  She was born on October 10, 1934, in Shelby County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Cecil L.D. and Irma Sophia (Wittenbrink) Long.

 On January 11, 1957, Emogene (Jean) married Karl H. Reinhardt, who died on October 6, 2021. She is survived by three children:  Lori (Craig) Rolwood of Bethlehem PA, Mardi (Jim) Hull of Cincinnati OH, and Steve of Bellevue WA; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruby I. Long, her brother, Charles E. Long, and a daughter-in-law, Diana Reinhardt.

 Emogene graduated from Sidney High School in 1952. She and Karl made their home in other parts of Ohio, New York, New Jersey and Virginia before retiring and returning to Shelby County.  She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a long time thrift shop volunteer.

 Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 12:00PM (Noon), at St. John's Lutheran Church, 120 West Water Street, Sidney OH, with Rev. Steve Edmiston officiating.  Burial will be held at 2:30PM at Pearl Cemetery in Swanders, OH.  The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 11:00am until the time of service.
