Emilia "Emmy" DeAnna-Marie Detty

October 2, 2023 – May 15, 2026

With broken hearts and endless love, we announce the passing of our precious Emmy, age 2 after her incredible battle against Trilateral Retinoblastoma. Though her time on earth was far too short, she filled every moment with laughter, light, and a love beyond words.

Born on October 2, 2023, Emmy brought joy to everyone who knew her. She loved playing outside, eating snacks while doing her happy food dance, swinging and had a smile that could brighten even the darkest days. Whether cuddling with mommy, playing with JJ, eating her daddy's gourmet food or simply giggling, Emmy reminded us daily of the beauty and innocence of life.

Emmy is deeply loved by her parents, Joe and Allison Detty, her brother JJ, her grandparents Emily and Justin Neu, Jim Detty, Lisa Guerra, Carol (Jim) Detty, Ken and Brenda Schlater and Ray and Vickie Woodie. Emmy was deeply loved by extended family including numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, hospital staff and many friends whose lives were forever touched by her sweet spirit.

Although our hearts ache with unimaginable sorrow, we take comfort in knowing that Emmy knew only love during her time with us. She will forever remain our greatest blessing and will be missed every day.

A gathering celebrating Emmy’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 from 4 to 7 P.M. at Cromes Edwards Funeral Home. 

In honor of Emmy, the family asks that donations or acts of kindness be made in support to Mercy Mission House specifically for a new facility named Emmy's Place, which will provide transitional housing to the homeless. 

Emmy will forever be our light and sunshine.
