Ellinor Opal Rose

ELLINOR OPAL ROSE, 80, of Sidney, passed away at 12:46 A.M. Friday, November 12, 2021 at her residence. She was born on October 22, 1941 in Pruden, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Henry and Sopha (Rose) Buckner. On June 2, 1960 she married Ronald R. Rose, who preceded her in death on January 21, 2016.

Ellinor is survived by two children, Lisa (Steve) Malueg of Lima and Chris (Amon) Rose of Sidney; eight grandchildren, Brian Knowlton, Steven Malueg, Sarah (Connor) Cochrane, Tessa Rose, Ronald N. Rose and fiancé Monte Robbins, Henry Rose, Marlon (Allison) Beach and Dana Beck; four great-grandchildren, Kasen Knowlton, Max Beach, Ian Beck and Aydin Beck; one sister, Shirley Allen of Millerstown, OH; one brother Richard Buckner of Middlesboro, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Hank Rose and William Rose; six sisters and one brother.

Ellinor loved her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was welcoming to family and friends. She loved taking care of everyone, cooking special meals and desserts. She wasn't afraid to tackle any work no matter what her age. Something she attributed to her strong southern roots. She will be forever loved and missed.
