Ellen Louise Calland

Ellen Calland, of Urbana, passed away peacefully at 11:11 A.M. Friday, July 12, 2024 with family members present at Vancrest of Urbana. She was born on July 23, 1944 to the late Robert and Elsie Loretta (Piper) Hollis.

Ellen is preceded in death by her son, Rick Calland, husbands, Roy Owens and Don Calland.  Surviving is her daughter Debbie Calland of Urbana; daughter-in-law, Terri Calland of DeGraff; sister-in-law, Sandy Calland; grandchildren, Natasha Heilman, Alana Calland, Chris Calland, Daniel Moore, Michael Moore and Jason Daniels; great-grandchildren, Brock Calland and Corrin Streaker, as well as 3 great-great grandchildren and another on the way.

Ellen was a Sweet Soul with a passion for people. She spent many years giving care as a nurse aide, activities assistant and physical therapist. Her "love" was her garden.  Ellen farmed for years as well as produced a large garden each year. Her heart was at her home she lived in all her adult life. Please remember her as the beautiful lady she was with a smile for everyone. She will always be remembered as Daughter, Sissy and Granny. 

In following with Ellen's wishes, she will be cremated. Her final resting place will be at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. Condolences may be made to the family at www.cromesfh.com.
