Effie E. (Ewing) Martin

EFFIE E. (EWING) MARTIN, 94, of Sidney passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 9:48 AM at Wilson Health. She was born on January 27, 1928 in Lockington, Shelby County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Amos and Sarah (Courter) Ewing. In December of 1952, Effie, married Walter Martin, who preceded her in death November of 1993.

She is survived by four children, Dennis (Mary) Martin of Sidney, Karen (Robert) Stopp of Phoenix, AZ, Jeff Martin of Sidney and Gregory Martin of Sidney; two grandchildren, Jason (Jenn) Martin of Sidney and Kyle (Molly) Martin of Beavercreek and great-grandson, Easton Martin of Sidney. Effie was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Martin was a Homemaker all her life. She enjoyed gardening and farming.  Effie liked to do needlepoint crafts in her spare time. She was a lifetime member of Spring Creek Christian Church.
 
Funeral Services will be held Monday September 19, 2022 at 11 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney with Pastor David Clem officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney, Ohio. Friends may visit from 10 AM up until the time of the service at the funeral home.
