Help me celebrate the life of Edward Alvin Groom. He was born in Berkeley, California on April 26, 1948, he served in the navy from May 1968 to January of 1971. He was Honorably discharged from service. After service he became an over-the-road truck driver and did that up until retirement. He was an amazing husband and stepdad he could light up a room with his laughter. Everyone who met him loved him. He met the love of his life back in 2017 at a waffle house and it was love at first sight and it wasn't too long after that (less than a year lol). He asked my mom to marry him. My mom and ed were always together never apart. He loved seeing his grandkids and always picked on them, if they were down, he always knew what to say to make them smile. He will be missed greatly. He is survived by his wife Bonnie groom his two nieces Linda and Jackie. His stepson Jimmy Chrisman and his daughter in-law Cassie Chrisman and two grandchildren Anita and Dalton. Please send any condolences to my mom or her son at chrismanj69@gmail.com
