Edmund Charles Sauers

EDMUND CHARLES SAUERS, age 91 of Sidney, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 12:16 AM. He was born on February 26, 1933, in Piqua, Ohio, the son of the late Edmund Charles and Esther (Karns) Sauers. On June 26, 1953, he married Dorothy Ann (Fanning) who preceded him in death May 15, 2016.

He is survived by five children, Edmund J. (JoAnn) Sauers of Piqua, Steve (Dagmar) Sauers of Sarasota, FL, Randy Sauers, Scott (Peggy) Sauers both of Sidney, and Sherri (Patrick) Puzzuto of Anaheim, CA, two sisters, Joyce Chronerberry, and Carole Henderson both of Piqua, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son, Christopher Sauers.

Mr. Sauers served his country in the US Army from 1953 to 1955. He worked and retired as a welder. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Destiny, Cheyenne, and the entire Ohio’s Hospice staff for taking such good care of Edmund in his final days.

In keeping with Mr. Sauers' wishes, his body will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney.
