Earl H. Vance Jr.

EARL H. VANCE JR., age 86 of Sidney, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 2:13 PM at his home. He was born on April 14, 1936 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of the late E. Herbert and Zelma (Henderson) Vance.

On August 3, 1957 Earl married Joyce (Patton) who survives along with two children, Deborah E.V. (Thomas J.) Luellen, and Keith A. (Rhonda Davis) Vance both of Sidney, two brothers, Max E.( Laura) Vance of Tampa, FL, and Eldon E. Vance of Gennessee, MI, grandchildren; Jessica (Sean) Reiver, Eva (Joe) Fogt, Mark Mullen, Erin Luellen, Jared Vance, Logan Vance, Sean (Chas) Luellen, Keira (Ben) Johnson, and Rachel Luellen, 14 great-grandchildren, and exchange students, Pascal, Max, and Benjamin Bordier, and Alicia (Hector) Gonzalez. He was preceded in death by daughter, Cynthia Denise Vance, and sister, Jewel Rice.
 
Mr. Vance worked as an insurance agent for State Farm for 55 years. He was a member of Temperance Lodge 73 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Shelby County Gideons, and St. Jacob Lutheran Church in Anna.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Jacob Lutheran Church, 101 W. Main St, Anna, OH, with Rev. David Eidson officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
