Duane Jay ‘Red’ Allison went to be with the Lord on October 13, 2021, at 3:39pm, at Mount Carmel Hospital in Westerville, Ohio. Red was born on August 11, 1966, to Jon and Elizabeth (Tennery) Allison in Sidney, Ohio.

On August 13, 1988, Red married Cheri Lynn Sharp. Together they have one son, Noah Jay Allison, who survives. Red is also survived by his parents Jon and Libby Allison, an older brother Dean (Cari) and niece and nephew Madison and Cade Allison, and younger sister, Dana (Donnie) Sharp and nieces Allison and Sophia Sharp. Red has three grandchildren, who he loved very much, Everett, Amora, and Alias Allison and Noah’s fiancé, Kaitlyn Graber. His grandkids were his pride and joy and loved spending time with them. Red is proceeded in death by his grandparents: Harold and Nell Allison and Raymond and Mary Tennery, Aunt Marty Van Tilburgh, Uncle Dave Tennery, Uncle Darrell Allison and Uncle Timothy Allison.

Red graduated from Sidney High School in the Class of 1985, where he had a very accomplished wrestling career. He wrestled varsity all four years of high school and held the record for the fastest pin (:07) for many years. After graduation from high school, Red attended jewelry repair school and GIA diamond grading school then joined the family business at Allison’s Custom Jewelry where he worked his entire career. Red enjoyed going on hunting and fishing trips with his dad and brother and friends Gene, Charlie, and Bob. He enjoyed watching sport s on tv with friends Dan and Lee; even though they disagreed on whose team was better. Red will be extremely missed by a multitude of friends and family but will be reunited with friends who have gone before him. In true Red fashion, they will be riding the “Crazy Train” together once again.
