Douglas Wright

Douglas Wright, age 74, of Laura, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Midnight 12:00 AM at home. He was born the son of Jim and Ruth (Everett) Wright on August 6, 1949, in Sidney, who precede him in death.

He is survived by his wife, who he married on September 6, 1980, Sharon (Temple) Wright, children, Stephen (Heather) Wright of Piqua and Shelley Wright (Lee Horner) of Ashley, OH., and 5 grandchildren.

Doug worked at Alcoa Building Products.  Doug also worked with his dad at J and R automotive. Doug loved to go to the casinos with his wife.  He also loved to garden with his grandsons and have cookouts with his family. He was an avid golfer and loved to watch the Reds. Doug also loved putting smiles on everyone’s faces.

Memorial Services will be held Monday, September 25, 2023, at 12:00 PM (Noon) at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Randy Reed, officiating. Visitation will be held 10:00 AM until the time of service. Condolences may be made to the family at www.cromesfh.com
