DOUGLAS R. EUSTACHE, 83 of Sidney, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 6:31 PM at Heritage Center in Minster, Ohio. He was born on June 17, 1942, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Ralph and Maxine (Jennings) Eustache. On July 5, 1964, he married Eleanor (Lawhead) who preceded him in death February 16, 2012.
Douglas survives by his two granddaughters: Brandi (Michael) Morrison, and Leanna Thompson both of Sidney, two great granddaughters: Hayden and Olivia Morrison, and daughter, Kimberlee Thompson. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Barbara Napier, and Cheryl Cotterman.
Douglas served his country in the US Army. He worked for 60 years as a truck driver, mostly at Clopay for 30 years, and most recently at Rising Sun prior to his retirement at age 78. He was a member of American Legion Post 217. In his spare time, he enjoyed guns, playing guitar, fishing, talking about cars, and loved his yorkie k-9 companion, Chewy.
A Private Graveside Service will be held at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney with Randy Reed officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
